What does Heatwell make?
Heatwell designs and manufactures custom electric heating elements and heating components for OEMs. We supply makers of household appliances, commercial kitchen and laundry equipment, HVAC and ventilation products, industrial machinery and electric vehicles. The group has more than 35 years of experience, has produced over 1.4 billion elements and works with more than 1,000 customer brands. Heatwell has been listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange since 2023 and has a European office in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Which types of heating elements can you supply?
Tubular heating elements (metal sheathed, MgO insulated and bent to shape), thick film heaters, open coil and resistance wire elements, heaters cast into aluminium, flanged and screw-plug immersion heaters, flexible heaters on PET, PI, non-woven fabric or silicone rubber, and complete thermal modules with sensors and controls. Most of our work is built to the customer's drawing or specification.
How do I choose between a tubular heater and a thick film heater?
Tubular heaters are robust, can be bent into almost any shape and work in air, water and oil. That makes them the usual choice for ovens, dishwashers, water heaters and duct heaters. Thick film heaters are flat and compact, respond quickly and reach high power density, which suits kettles, beverage machines and high-voltage EV heaters where space is tight. Our engineers recommend a technology once they know the medium, power, voltage and space available.
Do you make heaters for electric vehicles?
Yes. Heatwell Auto Parts, founded in 2021, makes thick film, tubular, cartridge, cast aluminium and flexible heaters for EV thermal management, battery preheating and cabin comfort. It is IATF 16949 certified, supplies Tier 1 system makers and has produced more than 7 million automotive heaters.
Which certifications do you hold?
Management systems: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001 and IATF 16949 for automotive. Product approvals include CE, VDE, UL and CQC. Laboratory: CNAS accreditation, with VDE and UL laboratory certifications.
Where are your plants, and can you supply from outside China?
We produce in five plants: two in Hangzhou (group headquarters and Heatwell Auto Parts), Jiangshan and Anji in Zhejiang province, China, and Chonburi in Thailand. The Thailand plant makes thick film heaters and gives customers a supply route from outside China. Our total production area is more than 300,000 m².
Do you take on custom designs and small batches?
Yes. We run high-volume assembly lines and small-batch production cells, build our own tooling and test equipment, and verify prototypes in our own laboratory before you validate them. The same engineering team stays with your part from the first sample to series production.
What do you need from me for a quotation?
The application and medium (air, water, oil or a surface), power in watts, voltage, dimensions or a drawing, the sheath material if it is specified, target standards such as CE, VDE or UL, and the expected annual volume. A photo of an existing part also helps. Send it through the form on this site or to zhiqiang.qin@e-heatwell.com.
Who can I talk to in Europe?
